ROWING: O’Donovan Brothers jointly win ‘Cork Person of the Year’ title

West Cork’s famous brothers have won another titel prestgious title of ‘Cork Persons of the Year’.

Skibbereen based 2016 Olympic medal winners Gary and Paul O’Donovan received the title at todays gala awards luncheon in Rochestown Park Hotel Cork.

The Mayor of Cork County Seamus McGrath and Lord Mayor of the City Des Cahill were both on stage to present the awards. Master of ceremonies was RTÉ broadcaster Seán O’Rourke. The judges were Tim Lucey, Chief Executive of Cork County Council, and Ann Doherty, Chief Executive of Cork City Council.

Sponsors of the award included RTÉ, Southern, AM O’Sullivan PR, Lexus Cork, Tony O’Connell Photography, Cork Crystal, and C&C Gleeson.
