Brian Crowley, MEP, returned to work this week, after many months’ treatment at Cork University Hospital.
Brian suffered from some open wounds in his leg, which necessitated skin-graft surgery that took longer then expected.
He said his stay in hospital proved a frustrating time for him, even though he was able to work from his hospital bed, on the phone to his office staff locally and in Brussels.
” I have always been an on-the-ground constituency person, and not being able to meet and work with people around Munster was very frustrating, ” said Brian Crowley.
” However, I will be making up for lost time, over the coming weeks, especially in the employment creation and employment retention areas. I am on the E.U., Industry & Trade Committee which has a €52 billion budget, and I will be activating again, meetings with groups and individuals at local venues. Already Irish companies are drawing down €1m a week from this fund, to help create employment”, added Brian Crowley.
