Cork Sinn Féin is intensifying its campaign against what it now calls the
“Family Home Tax”.
The party is holding a series of public meetings throughout the City and
County in the coming weeks.
The first took place last night in the Riverstown Community Centre, Glanmire
Householders will start receiving Local Property Tax information leaflets
from the Revenue Commissioners from next Monday.
Sinn Féin Cork North Central TD Jonathan O’Brien accepts that the
Government needs to have “some form of taxation”, but says
says Sinn Fein’s alternative budget, which includes a wealth tax on high
earners would be a fairer system.
Sinn Fein’s next “anti family home tax” meeting will take place on Thursday
at 7.30pm in the Darby Arms, Ballincollig.
