Cork County Council is appealing to people to NOT waste water.

Engineers have noticed an increased demand on supply especially in the
evening from 6.30 to 9.30pm which they suspect is people watering gardens.

Since the beginning of the dry-spell water consumption from has increased
by about 10 to 15 percent , and night-time shutdowns or restrictions have been imposed on some
schemes.

The Mayor of County Cork is Fine Gael Cllr Noel O’Connor.
He is asking people to “think twice” before using power washers
or hose pipes
