An Engineer and Solicitor have warned that conditions in a City
Council housing complex present a “clear and imminent danger”
Nineteen residents of Mount Farran Place in Blackpool, are frustrated
with the Councils failure to maintain their three-storey complex, AND also that the
building doesn’t meet current building regulations:
with no fire escape on upper levels, narrow stairways, and drains that
are continually backing up.
Socialist Party City Cllr Mick Barry said cutbacks in the council’s
housing maintenance budgets have created huge problems city-wide
and Mount Farren is the latest example, he says
austerity is hitting ordinary people.
