The famous Lisselan Estate and Golf course in West Cork is for sale for 9 million euro.

The 300 acres between Clonakilty and Ballinascarthy include an 80 acre nine-hole golf course, 30 acres of tended gardens, and a French Château style house.

A section of the Estate was once home to the father of Henry Ford and it’s understood the selling agents, Sherry FitzGerald and Knight Frank, are making contact with Ford Motor family in the USA to see if they might be interested in purchasing part of their history.

The property still has a motoring connection as it’s current owner is the retired business-man David Blackburn who used to hold the Mitsubishi franchise for the UK and Ireland.

Lisselan is also linked with 1996 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner “Imperial Call”, and from the archives we can now listen back to the moment when the Fergie Sutherland-trained horse crossed the finish line!
