[Audio] Don’t remove motto from University Crest – say Politicians

A local Government TD and the Mayor of County Cork are calling on University College Cork to re-introduce it’s famous motto underneath it’s crest.

TheCork.ie Reporter David O’Sullivan noticed in recent days that the famous “Where Finbarr taught let Munster learn” slogan had disappeared from the Universities coat of arms on it’s website and on posters on campus.

According to legend Saint Finbarr was the founder of Cork City, and his name is synonymous with the area and University
