The national campaign opposing the installation of water metres is growing.
and it appears that Carrigaline, here in Cork is becoming one of the focal
points.

So far residents of more than four estates there have stopped contractors
for Irish Water from installing some metres:
including Droim an Oir, Maurland, Lower Clevedon, and Upper Clevedon, and
opposition is mounting in
at least another five estates.

Last evening there were residents meetings on green areas in Carrigmore and
Saint Philomenas,
and at “Pembroke Passage West”.

Members of the “Fluich Off” group, and other campaigners spoke with
residents, telling them how to co-ordinate their opposition.
which has two stands: firstly posting a letter of protest to Irish Water
AND secondly physically stopping the installation of metres

Our Reporter visited two residents meetings last evening…
