Four people have occupied the Chambers of the Lord Mayor in Cork City.
Supporters of The Peoples Convention arrived before 11am accusing the City
Council of taking down posters advertising a public meeting.
The Peoples Convention” say that 550 posters advertising a legitimate
public meeting opposing water metering have been “stolen” by Council staff.
The groups meeting will take place this Thursday at 7.30 in the Metropole

Separately: later this evening the normal bi-weekly meeting of Cork City
Council will take place at 5.30pm,
and security is expected to be high as other protesters are expected in the
Diarmaid Ó Cadhla from the The Peoples Convention says he will be in the
gallery for tonights meeting if he doesn’t get an apology for his posters
