Two Cork firms, “McNulty Boylan and Partners” and “Mullins Lynch Byrne”, haved merged. The new name is “BDM Boylan”. It becomes one of the largest law firms in Munster, employing 12 solicitors among a total team of 30.

The firm is based in Clarkes Bridge House, Hanover Street in Cork City Centre, meaning staff from Mullins Lynch Byrne will move from their Model Farm Road offices.

“This merger is the first stage of an ambitious expansion plan,” said John Boylan, managing partner.
“Given its size and scale, and with the expected upturn in the economy, the new firm confidently expects to grow by at least 15pc over the next 12 months.”
“The talent and resources at BDM Boylan allow us to provide greater specialisation to our 20,000 corporate, institutional and private clients.”

A planned innovation of the new firm is the provision of a business advisory section, providing complete advisory work to SMEs and business owners in company law, employment law and restructuring.
