Cork Is Red as Cork’s RedFM Continues to be No1 Radio Station

RedFM continues to be the number one radio station in Cork following the latest JNLR/Ipsos MRBI report into radio listening that was published today (27th April 2016). It covers the 12-month period from April 2015 to March 2016.

The station with a 20.4% share, has the most listeners in Cork on a daily basis with 126,000 which is 12,000 ahead of their nearest rival. The latest survey sees Cork’s RedFM continue their unprecedented success which saw them jump from 5th to 1st place in the Cork Radio Market.

Speaking about the results, CEO Diarmuid O’ Leary said “we are delighted that we continue to grow our listeners all over Cork. We will strive to super serve our ever increasing audience”

The very popular Dave Mac’s Drive continues to be the biggest drivetime show in Cork with 47,000 listeners, an impressive 14,000 ahead of his nearest competitor. Red FM’s Philip Burke also continues to have the top lunchtime show in Cork with a fantastic 59,000 listeners daily and the popular Neil Prendeville Show is up 3,000 listener’s year on year.
