Glow: A Cork Christmas Celebration
Glow-A Cork Christmas Celebration returns on 1st December. Visit Santa’s Cork Workshop presented by Dowtcha Puppets in Bishop Lucey Park, soar high above Cork on a giant Ferris wheel and indulge in our festive food markets and festive entertainment galore on the Grand Parade this Christmas.Glow will take place on
• Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd December
• Friday 8th to Sunday 10th December
• Friday 15th to Sunday 17th December
• Wednesday 20th to Friday 22nd December
The Ferris Wheel will open each day from 12 noon to 9pm* from Friday 1st December 2017 to Sunday 7th January 2018
Douglas Street Business Association
Well done to Douglas Street Business Association and the local community who have organised 12 Christmas cracker events over the festive period. This will include a Christmas jumper record breaker attempt in aid of Simon on Sunday December 10th .

St. Peters Christmas Market Date: 9th December Tickets: Free Entry, All Welcome
Browse the many and varied market stalls inside our church and find the ideal Christmas gifts and goods, all while listening to some festive tunes. Live music and some of your favourite recorded tunes, available on request, of course! O Come all ye shoppers on Saturday December 9th and rock around our Christmas market!
Francisican Well Christmas Market
The Franciscan Well Brewpub will be holding an Arts and Crafts market every Saturday and Sunday, beginning 28th/29th November. There will be food served on site and hot cider, coffees and teas at the bar so people can come in and mill around, have a coffee and buy some Christmas presents.
Emmet Place Christmas Market
December 15th-17th -This market will run over the final weekend before Christmas bringing a wonderful atmosphere to this historic quarter of the City. As this is the season of good tidings and gift giving we’ll have a great range of special gifts for you and your loved ones and the best of Cork produce and hot street food.

Walking in A Washington Street Wonderland
The traders & business people on Washington Street have come together in recent months to form “Washington dC” (district of Cork). This initiative is aimed at welcoming all to the area, not alone those seeking quality food and drink but also those seeking legal, medical & property services together with a diverse range of retail possibilities.
This recent initiative by Washington dC in association with Cork City Council has seen a large Christmas tree erected adjoining the Courthouse. More initiatives are planned for the future so watch this space!
