Wedding Bells for Seandún Macra
Seandún started off the week with our monthly meeting in O’ Shea’s Waterfall. This signalled the start of the festive celebrations as we discussed our upcoming mystery tour and various clubs’ Christmas parties.
Friday was a special day for Seandún as Kinsale Macra’s Maureen O’ Regan and Jonathon Quinn got married. A fantastic night was had by all as they celebrated and danced the night away in Oriel House Hotel. We would like to congratulate Maureen and Jonathon from all in the region and we hope ye had a great few days celebrating.
The weekend was busy by all accounts as many clubs had Christmas parties planned. Whitechurch Macra started off the festive proceedings as they went carol singing for the Alzheimer’s Society on Patrick’s Street. It was then followed by a night out in Sober Lane.
Saturday night saw both Carrigaline Macra take to Cork City for their Christmas parties. Carrigaline enjoyed a night at the improvised panto and had a club meal which was thoroughly enjoyed by all with over 20 members in attendance.
At the same time, Glanmire Macra went to the Oliver Plunkett in town to celebrate their Christmas party with plenty in attendance also. It was a great kick start to the festive season for many clubs and we can’t wait for our mystery tour which will be on this Saturday.
Don’t forget to follow our Seandún Macra facebook page and Snapchat account to keep up to date with all of our happenings as we head into busier months. We also have a new Instagram page so make sure to give us an add @seandunmacra. This Friday will see the national finals of welding being held in CIT. Best of luck to Glanmire Macra’s Donal O’ Callaghan.
Glanmire Macra will be holding their annual Christmas Quiz on Thursday the 12th of December in the Stirrup Bar. The quiz will start at 8pm and will be in aid of Shine a Light Suicide Awareness. All support will be welcomed on the night. Best of luck to Whitechurch who perform in the Cork County Round of Capers and we hope everyone who is travelling on our mystery tour on Saturday enjoys the night.
