More than 3,700 students are graduating from Munster Technological University (MTU) as part of its autumn 2026 conferring ceremonies across its campuses.
Graduates representing 105 nationalities are being conferred across this year’s ceremonies, reflecting the diversity of MTU’s student community and its international reach. The occasions recognise achievements across a broad range of disciplines, with qualifications spanning higher certificates, undergraduate degrees, postgraduate awards and doctoral research.
In Cork, graduates come from fields including biomedical engineering, sustainable energy engineering, pharmaceutical biotechnology, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, alongside business, social care and early childhood education. The ceremonies also showcase MTU’s creative disciplines, with graduates in musical theatre, popular music, fine art, contemporary applied art, art therapy, and music and technology.
At MTU’s Kerry campuses, graduates received qualifications across nursing, agricultural engineering, wildlife biology, animation and visual effects, computing, hospitality and tourism. Among the specialist postgraduate qualifications awarded were a Master of Arts in Regenerative Tourism and a Master of Science in Fintech Innovation, demonstrating the breadth of expertise being developed across the University.
The ceremonies also highlight the different pathways available through education at MTU. Among the qualifications being awarded are a Certificate in Personal and Professional Development for Employability and Further Studies in Kerry and a Level 4 Special Purpose Certificate in Cultural Citizenship in Cork, alongside advanced postgraduate and research qualifications.
Professor Maggie Cusack, President of Munster Technological University, said:
“Graduation is a proud moment for our students, their families and the entire MTU community. It marks the culmination of years of hard work, dedication and determination, and an exciting new chapter for our graduates.
We are celebrating people who have arrived here through different routes, studied various subjects and who will take their skills into workplaces across Ireland and beyond. What they all share is a determination to succeed, in addition to the ability to think critically, to work with others and to adapt to change. These are traits that will stand to them wherever their careers take them. I congratulate all our 2026 graduates on their achievements and thank the families, friends and staff who have supported them along the way.”
The Class of 2026 now joins MTU’s alumni community of more than 115,000 former students, contributing across industry, research, public service, culture and society in Ireland and internationally.
