Salt to be stored in Counrty Cork

As winter approaches….

The National Roads Authority is to provide 613 thousand euro for a “salt barn” in Ballincollig, and another in Skibbereen.

They will hold 1300 tonnes of salt each for use on roads across Cork. Construction will begun at the end of October, to finish before Christmas.

Fine Gael Councillor, Derry Canty welcomed the new buildings, but is disappointed that the County Manager can’t guarantee there will be enough salt
