Tourist office opens onboard MV Julia

Pictured today; Cllr Michael O’Connell Lord Mayor of Cork and Catherine O’Connel lady Mayoress at the West Cork Tourism Co-Op opening of its Tourism Information office on board the MV Julia on in the presence of the Lord Mayor Of Cork Cllr. Michael O’Connell and one hundrede of the shareholders. The office which has been grant aided by West Cork Development Partnership will be officially opend by its CEO Mr. Ian Dempsey.The Tourism Information office showcases shareholders businesses in Cork, Kerry and Wales and will be an invaluable aid to visitors. The office is dominated by a large photographic display on the walls of beautiful local scenery as well as featuring a help desk and an information leaflet display area. Only shareholders of the West Cork Tourism Co-Op can display their businesses in this way and benefit from other joint marketing acitivities with Fastnet Line.Conor Buckley, Chairman of West Cork Tourism, commented, “We are delighted to open this magnificent facility for our shareholders to showcase their businesses to the 100,000 plus people who will travel on the Julia in the coming year. We are very grateful to West Cork Development Partnership for their financial assistance in getting this part of the project to completion and feel sure that it will benefit the entire community of West Cork for years to come.
