When and where: 21st – 25th March @ The Firkin Crane Theatre

The Montfort College of Performing Arts are proud to present ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ at the Firkin Crane Theatre from 21st – 25th March.

Will the Cork performance contain the classic songs? We are not sure but it’s still a great magical story.

Roald Dahl’s timeless story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in this brilliant and funny adaptation, with classic and well-known characters such as Charlie Bucket, Grandpa Joe, Violet Beaugarde ,Veruca Salt and a whole troupe of Oompa Loompas which is sure to delight audiences old and young this Easter.

Playing the title role of Wonka is Darragh Feehely who recently appeared as Lumiere in the Cork Opera House panto ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Sharing the stage with Darragh are over 250 students from the Montfort College of Performing Arts, all of who auditioned specifically for this Easter presentation. Their ages range from 6 – 18 yrs.

The show is directed by Trevor Ryan who most recently directed and co-wrote the Cork Opera House pantomime ‘Beauty and the Beast’.

The show runs for 8 performances only from the 21st – 25th March at 2:00pm and 7:00pm daily. Ticket €18 and €68 for a family ticket of four. Book online at www.firkincrane.ie

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, another unforgettable masterpiece from the legendary Roald Dahl, never fails to delight, thrill, and utterly captivate. A must for the entire family this Easter.
