Cork City Council revealed that a data breach on the Cork City Park by Phone service has occurred.
No personal bank account or credit/ debit card details were accessed, no account balances were altered and no passwords were compromised. However, it is possible that other personal data such as mobile numbers, email addresses and car registrations may have been accessed.
A Council statement said …”this breach has now been addressed, the relevant authorities have been notified of the breach (Data Protection Commissioner and An Garda Siochana) and further detailed investigations are underway. Please note that Park Magic will never contact you requesting your bank account or credit/ debit card details.”
