Iarnród Éireann to launch new Permanent Piano at Kent Station Cork

To Celebrate World Piano Day, Iarnród Éíreann is launching a new piano at Kent Station, Cork today. Pianist Dylan Howe will perform on the day.

The Cork piano is the fifth public piano to be installed at Ianród Éireann Stations. The piano at Pearse was installed in 2017, the piano at Heuston was installed last March and the piano at Connolly was installed last June with Waterford following in August. They have all brought delight to those waiting at the stations.

Artist Gary Reddin designed the piano. Gary began his artistic career in Denmark and has produced hundreds of commissioned art pieces for client’s including President Michael D Higgins, Penguin Books and many more.

The launch of the piano will be at 11:00hrs at Kent Station.
