The Port of Cork is seeking to appoint a firm to provide public relations and communications services.
Cork Harbour, one of the world’s largest natural harbours, is home to a major commercial port capable of handling all six principal shipping modes: lift-on/lift-off (Lo-Lo), roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro), liquid bulk, dry bulk, break bulk and cruise.
The Port also recently expanded its transatlantic connections, launching a direct weekly service to New York in May through a partnership with French shipping and logistics company CMA CGM. The service allows cargo to reach New York in approximately nine days and Savannah, Georgia, in around 11 days.
According to tender documents, the successful firm will provide strategic communications advice, media relations, executive communications and crisis management services.
The Port intends to award a three-year contract with an estimated value of €240,000 excluding VAT.
Interested firms must notify the Port of their intention to tender by September 11. Tenders are scheduled to be opened on September 14.
