Tesla Opens Supercharger Station at The Arches Bar & Restaurant, Mallow, Cork – Adding Eight High-Speed Stalls as Network Expands
Tesla has announced the opening of eight new Supercharger stalls at its newest site in Cork. Located at The Arches Bar & Restaurant in Mallow, the V4 Supercharging station now delivers charging speeds of up to 250kW for both Tesla and non-Tesla drivers.
Supercharging is designed to bring simplicity to the EV charging experience. For electric vehicles, charging is often as simple as plugging the cable into the vehicle once you have the Tesla app – no cards, external applications, or extra steps. The car allows charging within seconds and seamlessly bills the account attached once charging is done.
Tesla customers can expect significant range to be added to the vehicle in just 15-30 minutes of charging, ideal when taking a break from driving or for wanting to use local amenities.
The first Supercharger in Ireland opened in 2017 at Ballacolla’s Topaz Service Station, connecting Dublin and Cork along a key commuter corridor. Today, the network spans 92 stalls nationwide, with this number continuing to increase throughout the remainder of the year with new sites expected in key areas such as Letterkenny, Blanchardstown and Longford.
Tesla has delivered over 10,000 vehicles in Ireland and launched the Tesla Powerwall in 2025, enabling homes and businesses to optimize solar and/or grid energy for net-zero living.
Tesla’s plans for expansion will continue to strengthen connectivity from urban hubs to rural communities for EV drivers. With Supercharging technology and Trip Planner integration, Tesla vehicles will automatically route drivers to the most efficient charging stops, minimizing detours while maximizing journey efficiency.
