Carragiline lady Aisling Claffey Healion has been nominated for the 2026 Beko & Woman’s Way Mum of the Year Award, becoming the seventh nominee in this year’s for the prestigious awards.
Aisling and her partner Martin, welcomed their son Alfie in September 2024 and becoming a mother has been a dream come true. “When I was asked as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always said I wanted to be a mum” she said “I’m doing my dream job”.
That maternal instinct has also helped shape another lifelong passion, her involvement with the Irish Girl Guides. Having joined 22 years ago, her connection to guiding remains as strong as ever, having recently taken up the role of Chief Commissioner with the organisation, becoming the youngest person to hold the position.
Balancing motherhood with her continued commitment to Guiding, she remains an inspiration to those around her through her commitment, dedication and leadership for supporting young people. A full interview with Aisling is available to read in the latest edition of Woman’s Way magazine.
The Beko Woman’s Way Mum of the Year Awards are back in 2026 for an incredible 23rd year with Beko proudly supporting the awards for more than a decade. The Awards celebrate Ireland’s amazing mothers and shine a light on women who quietly and consistently make life better, for their families, society and everyone around them.
Open to mums throughout Ireland, the accolade gives spouses, children, relatives, friends and community groups the opportunity to recognise and reward the fantastic work mums do for their families and friends. A landmark event in the social calendar, the awards celebrate the strength, dedication and community contribution of mothers in Ireland.
Finalists will be treated to a fabulous afternoon at a special awards ceremony later in the year where the prestigious title as Beko & Woman’s Way Mum of the Year Award will be awarded. Celebrity Mum of the Year and a Special Recognition Award will also be honoured at the event. Each finalist will receive a top-of-the-range CaffeExperto bean-to-cup coffee machine while the winner will receive a €2,500 voucher to spend on Beko appliances.
