Regatta Great Outdoors Ireland has been awarded the Guaranteed Irish status, a milestone that recognises Regatta’s contribution and commitment to the Irish market.
One of the most respected names among Irish families, adventurers and everyday explorers, Regatta Great Outdoors is synonymous with high-quality, affordable clothing. Following a rigorous application process, the brand has now been certified Guaranteed Irish and approved to use the symbol of trust based on four main criteria: jobs, community, provenance and sustainability.
Speaking on the recognition, Guaranteed Irish CEO Bríd O’Connell said: “We welcome Regatta Great Outdoors to the Guaranteed Irish family. With 36 storefronts across the country and a dedicated Irish site, Regatta has become a vital part of the Irish retail ecosystem, supporting local jobs and communities while making the outdoors more accessible for all of Ireland’s outdoor and adventure-loving patrons.”
As one of Ireland’s most recognisable symbols, Guaranteed Irish encourages consumers to support local businesses when shopping. Guaranteed Irish membership is open to homegrown and international companies in Ireland, across all sectors.
“We are incredibly proud and delighted to have been awarded the Guaranteed Irish symbol as a result of our commitment to supporting the local economy and contributing positively to our community,” said Brian Fox, Managing Director of Regatta Ireland, the group which also includes the Craghoppers and Dare 2b brands.
“The Guaranteed Irish licence gives our customers confidence and pride in the Regatta brand and is a hugely important milestone in our growth in Ireland as we continue to promote sustainable Irish jobs,” Mr Fox said. “This milestone is a great honour for us.”
Regatta first arrived in Ireland in 2003 with a concession in Wexford, before opening its first standalone store in Limerick in 2011. Two years later, in 2013, Regatta Great Outdoors Ireland Ltd. was formally registered as an Irish company. Today, from its headquarters in Cork, the business oversees a nationwide network of 36 stores alongside its online platform. It employs staff in communities across the country and works with a wide range of local suppliers, from shopfitters and tradespeople to utility providers, acting as an integral part of Ireland’s retail landscape.
