Cork based Senator, Tim Lombard, has welcomed the allocation of funding for St Multose National School, Kinsale and St Brogan’s College, Bandon under the ‘Additional Accommodation and Emergency Works Scheme’.
“Today’s announcement of funding for St Multose National School will allow for a brand new mainstream classroom with universal access WC to be built in the school. While the funding for St Brogan’s will enable much needed electrical work to be carried out.
“The Additional Accommodation and Emergency Works Scheme is an important programme that improves the quality of school buildings and helps to expand their capacity. A supplementary benefit is the local employment created during the works on schools through this Scheme.
“It is important to ensure minimal disruption to school life thus the works under this Scheme are carried out during the summer months.
“I look forward to the works in Kinsale and Bandon being completed in the coming months, I’m sure that the teachers and students in St Brogan’s and St Multose will greatly benefit from the works.”
