The man who built the model of Cork City which is the centrepiece in the Vision Centre on North Main Street, Cork City passed away this week on 13th December 2011.
Originally from England, Roy Tassell lived in Inchydoney, Clonakilty, West Cork and oversaw the creation of the 1:5000 scale model which is on permanent display in St Peter’s on North Main Street.
The model shows the River Lee and the City as they appeared in the 1990s,
