AIB have open a stand-alone self service banking area in Cork, just off St Patricks’ Street.
But as bank goers will know more machines means less staff, less jobs, less footfall, less
money in the local economy… but on the other hand it can mean more convenience for customers,
and a Plc like AIB has a responsibility to its shareholders to maximise profits it could be argued.
Nevertheless, lets look at the details:
The Self Service Banking Area, located on Winthrop Street, Cork is open seven days a week 8am-9pm.
The facilities available include
- 2x Cash and Cheque Lodgement machines,
- An AIB Card Kiosk
- AIB Phone Banking.
The official opening of the Self Service Banking Area took place today.
AIB employees, Kerry footballer Colm Cooper and Cork footballer Colm O’Neill
were present at the official opening.
